RAW: NYC Presents: Menagerie

Last night I showed up at M1-5 with little clue of what to be in store for. All I know is AJ of Midnight Mosaic told me that his band was performing and it involved art and fashion and I said “Sold!” What I got was way better than I expected. M1-5 was filled with artist of all kinds. The walls showcased all kinds of art, from photography to paintings. Models covered in body paint walked among the crowd, while everyone enjoyed drinks, food, and the sounds of DJ NSEW. Host Emma Riley presented the wide range of performances, which went from musical performances by Rubber Skunk, Midnight Mosaic, and Devin White, film presentations by KLJ, dance performance by Ms. Red, and the fashion collections of Scarfia Designs, Luxe, Dana L. P. Meyer, and Daniela Rodriguez. It was hard to stay in one place with so much going on, but luckily I didn’t have to. Everywhere you turned there was something that demanded your attention. RAW really did a great job of showcasing fresh new talent and folks to be on the look out for. To get more on the artist featured check out their RAW profiles here. Johanna Sarria Workout Video BTS

So I was on set at Club H in Hoboken to see Johanna Sarria shoot her exercise video to go with her fitness line. Teh girls worked hard, even before the camera started rolling. Just watching them work made me sweat! Here’s some stills, video will be on the way, shot by Ruben Rodrigez.

Roman Kajzer presents Aze-Anzahl Ein Couture by Spencer Dargan

Yesterday running around NYC got the best of me. Jumping from manhattan, queens, and then brooklyn handlng business (awesome business that is) made me late for Spencer Dargan’s show at Lair! Luckily for me, I got a helping hand from Fox Hutson, who let me showcase his photos. I wanted to show off Aze- Anzahl Ein Couture cause I’ve loved the look of it ever since I first came across it at the SBFW. Check the photos below and see more of Spencer’s work here.

The Lip Bar 2012 Spring Collection Launch

Last night I hit Pranna Lounge to join the celebration as Melissa Butler unveiled her new Lip Bar Spring Collection. Hosted by Gabi Gregg and designers CoCo & Breezy, ladies left and right were adorned in such colors as Bahama Mama and Sour Apple Martini as stations were set up for people to try on different lipsticks from the line. Before applying it on yourself, you could look at one of the many models walking around in a special shade, all available for you to try on right there. Midway, Melissa spoke to the crowd and was then presented with a special thank you and one beautifully customized cake, made to look like her special lipstick (Courtesy of JA Cakes). Check the photos to see more of the event.

Evangel Spots: Nicki Minaj

So as I jumped around NYC on my many adventures last night, I ended up bumping into the launch of the Viva la Vida Glam Collection. My camera battery was near dead but it lasted just long enough for me to snag these two quick photos of Nicki Minaj as she entered the event. Her fans cheered wildly as she stepped out looking stunning.

Roman Kajzer presents Citrolina-Valentine’s Edition by Suchi Gala

To continue my great night, I made it over to the roof of the Empire Hotel to see Roman Kajzer showcase Suchi Gala’s Citrolina line. I was familiar with her work from Small Boutique Fashion Week so I was more than happy to see her great designs. The models were beautiful as Roman brought out each model, dressed to perfection in Suchi’s elegant and Indian/Italian influenced fashions. Check out the photos below.
